[action]
[Because clawing up the furniture would be too easy, and fairly easy to replace, Toothless has settled on a different brand of revenge for being stuck on the Mirror side. He well remembers being stuck here the last time. The fact that he has friendly company, this time, is beside the point. Part of him is still upset about Wonderland taking Hiccup away, too, and it fuels him into digging in closets. At first, he looks for chalk.
But the closets, so helpfully, give him paint and paint brushes. And it takes him a while to figure them out, but he does. His head and front arms are covered in red and blue paint when he's finished with his first hallway - which is now plastered in smiley faces, fish symbols, circles, squares, and other easy shapes that he's found since re-discovering the urge to draw.
Toothless has a lot of imagination and energy. The rest of the Mirror mansion doesn't stand a chance, if he gets his way.]

[action] I'm going to absolutely regret this.
However, in his wandering, it's not long before he comes upon the first of the smiley faces, though...To him it's simply a childish scrawling on the wall in paint that makes no sense.
And when he comes upon the graffiti artist...Well. He's seen things, Hector has. Dragons are not among those things. And he's not sure whether to be worried, or amused, honestly.]
There's a dragon. Defacing the walls. Aye, I've seen everything now. I think I'm done.
:D
He leaves the fish unfinished, paintbrush in mouth, and turns to face the unfamiliar Viking, tilting his head curiously.
The Night Fury is a lot more intimidating when not covered in bright paint, but still, he's not a small creature.]
/sobs into hands
Though really, considering he's not dragon food already, the idea is to remain calm, cool, collected, and not piss the dragon off. Which is...No doubt harder than it sounds. So he bites the inside of his lip and holds up his hands, away from both sword and pistol, before taking his eyes off the creature to look around.]
So. Trashing their abode are we. [Admirable, really, that a creature would have that much initiative, or critical thinking skills. But then there's his own monkey, Jack, so he's not sure why he's surprised.]
Well, it's a start, I suppose.

The Night Fury glances at the Viking's weapons, but he doesn't growl at them. The human's gesture of 'coming in peace' is read loud and clear. And for now, the dragon will trust him on it.]

Really, it's done very little to instill any sort of confidence in the Red Queen whatsoever.
He lowers his hands and tugs at one sleeve of his jacket.]
Looks to me like ye could use a bit of assistance. This be a big place, and you're but one- [Thing.] person.

[He notices the huge paw-prints on the floor a little too late.]
[So Toothless is big, yeah. But Night Fury big is still Titan tiny. It would take several bites and a lot of effort for him to eat a human. And he has his 3D gear on, which always makes him feel more secure no matter the situation.]
[Armin's curiosity wins over his fear. It has to at least be sentient, right? It's painting pictures for crying out loud!]
H-hello. [Gulp.] Did you-- do all this?

That's very impressive... Do you speak at all?

He'd looked a lot more intimidating if he wasn't covered in red and blue paint, which has mixed and created purple on his chest.]

He glances down at his arms, and apparently comes to the realization that he's covered in the excess of his work. The Night Fury nods, tail swishing idly behind him.]

You don't like being over here either, do you?

Toothless shakes his head in response to her question. There isn't enough room here. He wonders if even the Mirrors like it.]

[ ... pictures, painted on the walls, as if a child had done them themselves. it isn't until she sees the artist that caroline stops completely. she looks at the dragon with her eyebrows raised and her mouth wide open. dragons, talking cats, talking mice … ]
[ and she doesn't say a word. (for once, there are none, not for a rambler like caroline.) ]
[ honestly, when will she stop being so surprised by animals acting like humans? will this dragon ask for a paint palette much like the cheshire cat did for a saucer? ]

He tilts his head to the side curiously. This is a Viking he's not familiar with.]

1. Hey, wrecking the stuff of their captors/antagonists, she can approve that
2. omg that's kind of cutenope that's it, just the one thought.
Anyway she stops and just watches Toothless work. It may not be as destructive as the vandalism she's used to, but hey, damage is damage.]

That said, when she came back inside, turned down a hall, and found it covered in bright, childish drawings, it was more than a touch startling. It took her a moment, amid the shapes and symbols to even spot the paint-spattered dragon and when she did, it mostly just raised questions rather than answering them. Susan blinked, looked at the walls, then back at the dragon, and then blinked again.]
You...are drawing. [Was there an etiquette when it came to interrupting dragons while they did art? Susan wasn't sure.] I'm sorry, am I interrupting?

He's happy enough to pause. Especially if she wants to look over his work. Luckily, he hasn't made a conscious mess of the floor.]

Now, she wasn't particularly familiar with emoticons, being that she was from a place where culture and technology hovered somewhere around the mid 1800's, but they weren't a difficult set of symbols to decrypt. The faces and drawings of fish were scattered about and, at several points, seemed eager to express the dragon's displeasure about something. It was all a bit of a mess, but, given that he'd drawn them with a brush held in his mouth, the lot of it wasn't terribly executed.
All in all, it reminded her of her students' papers, back on the Disc.]
They're very...colorful. [She looked from a scribble of a fish and back at the dragon. She was fairly certain he understood complex speech, he was quite bright, and that had her curious.]
Do you know how to write letters?
